Harp @ Celebration IX

We are so excited for the Celebration concerts in September. Please read all of the information below carefully so we can have a fabulous performance!

Harp Celebration Concert (for ALL Suzuki harp students)

Saturday, September 12, 2015 in the Tabernacle

  • Schedule for Students:
    • 6:00-7:30 AM Harp Delivery for ALL students, drop-off zone at the West Temple entrance to Temple Square. Come with your harp already tuned to 440 and make sure you label everything with your name – covers, dolly, bench, harp, etc.
    • 9:00 AM-3:00 PM Dress Rehearsal (more detailed schedule to come)
    • 3:30 PM Call Time & Pictures
    • 4:00-5:00 PM Concert

Concert Dress: Dress or skirt/top with any combo of black and white (solids, stripes, polka dots, etc.). A pop of red (bow, sash, etc.) Black, white, red or metallic colored shoes. They may be sparkly (but don’t have to be). No tights, no spaghetti straps, and no pants.

Gala Celebration Concert (ONLY for students accepted into the harp delegation)

Saturday, September 19, 2015 in the Conference Center

  • Schedule for Students:
    • 9:00-10:00 AM Harp Delivery for delegation harpists. Enter Conference Center parking garage from West Temple and drop-off harp by door J6 (we will give you a map). Come with your harp already tuned to 440 and make sure you label everything with your name – covers, dolly, bench, harp, etc.
    • 12:00-12:30 PM Harp Rehearsal – be behind your harp by 11:45!
    • 4:00-5:30 PM Rehearsal with all instruments
    • 6:30 PM Call Time
      7:00 PM Concert

Concert Dress: Black skirt or pants and white top (no t-shirts and no spaghetti straps). Black tights or socks (no bare legs showing). Black shoes.

Parent Volunteers: In order to make these performances run smoothly, we need an army of parent volunteers. If you are willing to be a parent volunteer for either of the concert days, please contact your teacher or the Harp Parent Volunteer Coordinator (Megan Visser, harpbymegan@gmail.com).
