I began learning the violin at age 9, and continued studying it through my college years at BYU. I graduated with a degree in Elementary Education and a minor in music.
I have been a Suzuki violin teacher for almost 40 years. I began teaching at the Claremont Community School of Music in Claremont, CA, in 1973. I have been a registered SAA teacher trainer in violin since 1984 or 1985. My five children are all Suzuki trained and several of my twelve grandchildren are, also.
And now here I am a widow, still teaching 20 students and training teachers. It has been one of the greatest joys of my life, and I hope to continue for many more years!
