Wait until September!
We do a membership drive each September where we offer a discounted rate on teacher memberships. In 2025 if you already have an account on our new site renewing your membership is as easy as logging into your account, adding the appropriate teacher membership to your cart and checking out.

New staring in 2024, you do not need to register families in their studio! Once you have paid your membership as a teacher you will receive a password to give to families in your studio so they may log onto our website and join on their own. We changed this for a few reasons:
- SAU can better predict the budget because families are more likely to know when a student in their own family has graduated and is no longer actively taking lessons. If you want to learn more about how the SAU budget is created and managed, we present this information every year at our Parent Teacher Convention.
- Your families are more likely to get communications from us in the form of emails and newsletters. Previously, families weren’t getting newsletters or emails because their mailing address / email were inaccurately entered.
- Families will be able to better see and understand the benefits of joining SAU when they see what they are paying and receive better communication.
Are you considering becoming a new SAU teacher?
You can join at any point during the year – consider joining during our Membership Drive in September. Your membership is from September to September annually. There are no prorated rates – so if you join before September, you will be paying for a partial year at full price.
Start by going to our Join SAU page and choose Join as a Teacher.

- Teachers must be a member of the Suzuki Association of the Americas (SAA)
- Joining SAU as a teacher costs only $45 annually.
- Teachers can save $10 on their SAU membership if they join during the September Membership Drive (only available in September)
- Please reach out to the Membership Secretary if:
- You have questions about your SAA expiration date
- You were a Past President with SAU
- You have your own children you’re registering for SAU
- Teachers are expected to register all of their Suzuki students in SAU per the Bylaws section 2.2.1.1.4.
How can families join SAU?
- Each family membership costs only $40 each year.
- New in 2024, family memberships include one child at the base $40 rate. Each additional child is only $5. Your money for each child goes toward creating even better events in our new economic climate of constantly rising costs. To see all the benefits of your membership go to our Member Benefits page.
