About Teacher

Anna studied the Suzuki method on both piano and violin starting as a young child, but the violin was always her true love. She became a member of a professional orchestra (the Boise Philharmonic) while still in high school, and after graduating college, joined them once again.  Her claim to fame was being hired to play in the back-up orchestra for Led Zeppelin.

She Graduated from Brigham Young University in 1994 with a Bachelor Degree in Violin Performance/Pedagogy, where she studied under Barbara Williams and Nell Gotkovsky.

She has been teaching the violin (and loving it) for about 35 years. She has been a faculty member of the Idaho Suzuki Institute off and on for the last 20 years.

She has had the privilege of training with many incredible teacher trainers: Cathryn Lee, Yuko Honda, Kathleen Spring, Ronda Cole, Ellie LaRoux, Donna Lim, Jacqueline Maurer, Nancy Jackson and Daniel Cordova.

She is the mother of 3 musical adult children, and can relate to Suzuki parents, because she is one, and knows what it\'s like to be in the trenches with kids on a musical and character building journey.

In her free time she enjoys jet-skiing, snow skiing, and mountain biking.
