As a child I studied the Suzuki Method with wonderful teachers, Wendy Flanders and Karen Child. Later, I studied with Leonard Braus, of the Utah Symphony. I completed my Bachelor's degree in Violin Performance at Indiana University's Jacobs School of Music. At this prestigious school, I had the opportunity to study with many great violinists, including Kathleen Winkler and Federico Agostini. While at Indiana University, I studied violin pedagogy with Mimi Zweig, a world-reknowned pedagogue. It was during my work with her that I discovered my love of teaching and decided to make it my career. I completed my Master's degree at the University of Utah, where I studied with Hasse Borup and played with the Graduate Quartet. I currently teach violin and Suzuki Early Childhood Education at the Gifted Music School in Salt Lake City, and in my home in Farmington.
