About Jackie: She has been playing violin (Suzuki trained with Doris McLaughlin and Ronda Cole in the Greater Washington D.C. area) since 5 years old, and was a member of the world renowned Orchestra at Temple Square for 18 years. She studied violin performance and pedagogy (student of Donna Fairbanks, Barbara Williams, Harry Curby, Nel Gotskovsky, and Vesna/Igor Gruppman), and received her masters degree from Brigham Young University on the effects of music on premature NICU babies, featured internationally and on New-4-Utah. She has a level 2 K-12 music license, and has taught 16 years in public, charter, and private schools. After teaching 1000�s of students of all ages, instruments, and levels, Jackie has developed rapid advancement and short cut techniques that help students progress more quickly and corresponds with what they are currently learning in school. She is a proficient recording and performing artist on violin, viola, and cello, while also teaching bass, piano, voice, guitar, ukulele, recorder, and select band instruments.
