My training includes a BA in Music from BYU, both long term and short term certification through the Suzuki Association of the Americas in Violin books 1-7, Singing in the Suzuki Style, Creative Ability Development with Alice Kanak, Kodally Level 1 as well as thousands of professional development master teacher observation hours. I consider my mentors to be Debbie Moench and Terry Durbin. I have taught since 1996 including 7 years as a masterclass teacher for Bryce Canyon Music Camp. I have four awesome kids ranging from age 16-24. Two cellists and two violinists. I am a certified Advanced Active member of the Suzuki Association of Utah. I have been a guest lecturer for the SAU, ISSI and other organizations on subjects such as “Tiger Mothers’ Anonymous”, Power of Culture and Suzuki Parent-Child Dynamics. I am a member of the Mormon Tabernacle Choir and I love to hike, mountain bike and cook.
