Lauren Posey

Dr. Lauren Posey is the Executive Director of the Intermountain Suzuki String Institute and principal cellist of the Ballet West Orchestra. She is a member of the Rosco String Quartet in Salt Lake City, UT, run a private cello studio in Holladay, UT, and is on faculty at Westminster College. Dr. Posey completed a Doctor of Musical Arts degree at Stony Brook University under the tutelage of Colin Carr in 2017. She earned a Bachelor of Music degree from the University of Southern California and a Master of Music degree from the University of Utah. Dr. Posey won the 2012 T. Gordon Parks Memorial Collegiate Concerto Competition and was a quarterfinalist in the 2016 and 2017 Fischoff National Chamber Music Competition with Trio Mondial. As a member of the Rosco String Quartet, she won the 2014 MTNA National String Chamber Music Competition and attended the 2014 Deer Valley Emerging String Quartet Program.
