<p>&lt;p&gt;Leslie has been playing the violin for over 35 years and has been teaching for over 20 years. She started her Suzuki violin studies with Ramona Stirling at the age of 4. After graduating from the Suzuki method she studied with Jack Ashton. In college, she studied several different career options and after lots of thought and inspiration, she decided to major in Music at the University of Utah. There she studied with David Park and Lynette Stewart. In 2001 she began her Suzuki teacher training at the Intermountain Suzuki String Institute. Her most influential teacher trainers are Linda Fiore, Ed Kreitman, Ed Sprunger, and Cathy Lee. She has been actively involved in the SAU since 2002 serving as executive secretary, president, webmaster and newsletter editor. She also works as the Teacher Workshop Coordinator at the Intermountain Suzuki String Institute. She owns the online business called The Practice Shoppe that sells practicing supplies to help make practicing fun. She also enjoys spending time with her five children and loving husband.&lt;/p&gt;</p>
