McKenzie Clawson is a violinist, Suzuki teacher, and mother of three living in Kaysville, UT. She has performed on two albums with the Logan String Quartet, as a soloist and concertmaster of the Utah State Symphony Orchestra, as a member of the Utah Festival Opera and Musical Theatre Orchestra, alongside the Fry Street Quartet, and as part of various other chamber groups and community projects. Ms. Clawson has performed in master classes for the Emerson, Jerusalem, St. Lawrence, and La Catrina Quartets. She received a B.M. in Violin Performance at Utah State University as a student of Rebecca McFaul. As a dedicated violin teacher, Ms. Clawson has taken Suzuki Teacher Training with Cathy Lee, Allen Lieb, and Linda Fiore, Creaitve Ability Development training with Laura Nerenberg, and is former adjunct faculty at Utah State. She is passionate about the possibility for music to teach vital life skills, heal hearts, and create community through performance and education.
