A \"pure-bred\" violist determined to get more young people playing and loving the Viola! Studied the Viola with Janet Andersen, Dr. David Dalton, Dr. R. Kevin Call and Dr. A. Claudine Bigelow. Grew up playing with the Premier Viola Ensemble (Betsy Stuen-Walker) and Young Artist Chamber Players (Jack Ashton). Spent summers studying with Dr. Charlie Pikler, Principal Violist of the Chicago Symphony and served as principal Violist at the National Orchestral Institute in Washington, DC. Has lectured and performed at two International Viola Congresses and worked as an archivist in the Primrose International Viola Archive (PIVA). 15+ years private teaching experience in 4 states, including teaching string orchestra at 5 public elementary schools in Salt Lake and Provo and 15 years experience as a recording studio musician and private orchestral musician.
