About Teacher

Tenille Cundick began Suzuki Violin at 3 1/2 yrs old, studying with Jeanne Grover and Karen Child before graduating from Suzuki. She then studied with Jack Ashton, Marjorie Bagley, and Becky McFaul. She earned her BA in Liberal Arts & Sciences, with focuses on Music, Child Development, and ASL. She certified as a Suzuki Teacher at Intermountain Suzuki String Institute in Books 1-3 with Judy Bossuat and Teri Einfeldt.

Tenille has taught private lessons for 22 years. She loves teaching because she enjoys seeing others achieve their goals, both musical and general. Tenille uses the Suzuki Method to teach violin and viola, because she believes in making more than great musicians. From Suzuki\'s own words, her goal in using the Suzuki Method is \"to create noble human beings.\"

Tenille recently moved back to Utah, from Idaho, with her husband, Paul, and six children. They live in Farmington, where each member of the family plays/studies a string instrument, including 3 violinists, 2 violists, 1 cellist, and 1 bassist. They\'re each spending a fair amount of effort to influence the new baby to choose their respective instrument! As life settles, she is beginning to accept new students, and participate in the local music community and orchestras. Tenille offers free trial lessons to see if she is a good match for you as a teacher. Feel free to reach out to her to ask questions or schedule a trial lesson.
